The cut from the woman screaming to Malcolm yawning is the greatest thing Spielberg has ever done.

my jurassic park scheme would not be to open a deadly amusement park but to domesticate and snuggle the little dinosaurs 🙂 in fact i think i will go do that right now

Actually has a pretty neat setup, gets too stupid too quickly though. Stops being about characters and leans more on the spectacle.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park is one of the most misunderstood works in Steven Spielberg’s filmography, up in the ranking along with AI: Artificial Intelligence and War Horse. Without any dissection of its “playing God” themes that flowed through the original masterpiece, TLW instead deconstructs the hubris of the Dino Creators, showcasing a tale of gigantic mistakes under the guise of a Grade-A monster movie. And even with the haunting message, Steven Spielberg never loses his sense of efficient and air-tight suspense, crafting multiple set-piece moments of masterful terror and immaculate direction. So many scenes visualize ingenious images of innocence and childlike wonder slowly dissolving into terror, with the highlight being a child annoyingly awakened by a T-Rex outside his…

I want to know how high you have to be to think that a scene where a kid kickflips a velociraptor to death is what should be in your movie. Bravo, Spielberg.

For one brief shining moment, Hollywood stood in agreement and said yes, we believe Jeff Goldblum is the next great action star.

“What do you need?” “Rope!” “OK, rope! Anything else?” “Yeah, three double cheeseburgers with everything!” “No onions on mine!” “And an apple turnover!” Aren’t they a fucking funny bunch? Hanging from a cliff and they still got jokes. SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU MORONS! Y’ALL ARE HANGING FROM A GODDAMN FUCKING GIANT ASS CLIFF! 🦕🦖🏝🛥

Crazy the original Jurassic park and this one are so overtly critical of capitalism. Don’t see much of that anymore.

after a long time, a movie scene almost pushed me out of my chair i heard Steven Spielberg made this movie lazy, if lazy looks this good, think about his peak 😂 watch once in life time? yes, anyway you should watch to know what happened after the first film watch again? maybe not individually, but in a movie night with family or friends happy to try

The T. rex reminded me of that elephant that was pissed off at that lady in India and killed her and then returned to her funeral to trample her corpse.

Loved the daddy daughter duo, I wish we got more. We watched this a few days ago and only finished it now. Is it canon that dinosaurs are peeping Tom’s because why do they always peek in on people. We found it hilarious that they’d always take a sneak peak before munching. It’s also puzzling to me as to why we’re watching the trilogy backwards.

Missing the juice from 1 (no surprise) and I think part of that is Goldblum as the lead as much as I love him. Dinosaur loose in San Diego is fun tho (might be the premise of one of the remakes? Idk maybe End of Oak Street lol)

I spent most of the movie thinking dinosaurs wouldn’t do that, like when the T-Rex couple went back to finish that guy at the RV scene, they got their baby and left they wouldn’t come back. I guess movies gotta movie and audience wants blood! T-Rex and doggo gave me trauma!
